Antimatter prevailed after a dramatic finish to the Adare Manor Opportunity Handicap Hurdle at Listowel.
Daniel Holden produced the 16/1 shot to fight it out from the second last flight in the two-miler as five jumped the penultimate obstacle upsides.
Donncha Duggan 's charge was locked together with The Rubinator when that rival crashed out at the last, badly hampering Lucky Phil and bringing down Famous Day
Antimatter galloped on strongly in the closing stages to secure the win, recording a three-parts-of-a-length victory over Trendsetter
Duggan said:- “I gave him a bit of a squeak. He was working well, probably not as well as last season but he’s ten now and not getting any quicker.
“It’s Daniel’s first ride for me and I told him to jump him off handy and make plenty of use of him. He doesn’t have too many gears but he can stay at it.
“The owner doesn’t want to go over fences so we’ll look for something similar.
“I have 12 in at the moment between the track and point-to-points, and some nice three-year-olds.”
