Another big-priced win for Nebo

Nebo registered a second big-priced Irish win today in Fairyhouse's Discover Boyne Valley Handicap as last year's Premier Handicap victor made all to score for trainer Tom Hogan and jockey Ben Coen.
A Group 3 winner for Charlie Hills in 2017, the son of Kodiac beat Ice Cold In Alex to win Cork's Habitat Premier Handicap at 50/1 last July and today, at odds of 33/1, beat that same fast-finishing rival to win by half a length.
After today's race jockey Coen, successful on Create Belief in last month's Sandringham Stakes at Royal Ascot, commented “he was good. He ran well the last day in the Curragh and Tom said he probably needed it.
“He got it easy there in front and anytime he heard them coming at him he picked up again. When he gets into that rhythm in front he’s hard to pass.
“Good ground is the key and that’s probably as easy as he would want it. When he’s on form he’s a nice horse.”
