- Another Winner for Lambe
Another Winner for Lambe
James Lambe sends out winners with great regularity and following on from Torrid Kentavr's valuable success at Galway on Friday evening and Auenschutze's win here last night, the Co. Tyrone handler took the most valuable event of the session at Sligo, the Martin Reilly BMW Dealer Novice Hurdle, with the Denis O'Regan-ridden, Inner Voice
This grey American-bred led before the straight and stayed on well from the last to beat the favourite, Covie Lad by three and a half lengths. It was a second win by the Cozzene gelding for his owners, the All Aboard Syndicate.
Inner Voice has a good pedigree and was a bargain buy out of the Sir Michael Stoute-yard, having had just one outing for him. The now five-year-old cost 7,000 guineas at the Newmarket July Sales in 2007. (EM)
