Another Bolger 1st-timer scores
The opening Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Fillies Maiden at Tipperary looked a decent heat and it went to Jim Bolger's Somasach with Kevin Manning up.
Like her stable companions this term, Whip Rule (got it in the steward's room), Snowflake Dancer, Parish Hall and Janey Muddles, Somasach was capable of doing the business at the first time of asking. From her wide draw in thirteen, the daughter of Johannesburg found plenty for pressure at the business end and held the promising Experience by the minimum margin.
Ger Flynn, representing Bolger, said: "We have very big plans with her. She is in at Naas on Monday (in the Listed Coomore Stud EBF Fillies Stakes) as well as Sunday's winner Teolane. She also has the option of going to Royal Ascot.
"Her dam, Easy Now is a half-sister to Easy Goer (a champion racehorse in America). She has the pedigree and always showed plenty. Kevin said she was very fast and that she'd have no problem stepping up to six furlongs."
