Our Anniversary stormed clear in the closing stages to run out a convincing winner of the apprentice handicap at Cork this afternoon.
The Dot Love-trained was breaking her maiden on her seasonal debut and was produced to challenge a furlong-and-a-half from home by Ben Coen.
She hit the front just inside the final furlong and galloped on strongly to record a three-and-three-quarter length success over Ecoeye
The 14/1 winner had been placed on her only other handicap start at Gowran last October. She had been dropped 7lb over the winter.
“She did it well. She's tough out and loves that ground,” said Coen.
"The went a right good gallop from the start and she was on her head a bit but she stuck it out right until the end."
