Andrew Thornton off the mark at Wexford
Andrew Thornton had his first winner this evening aboard Meryn Torrens Arondo to win The Nick O?Donnell Memorial Handicap Hurdle. The 26 year old Thornton made all and won in an easy 9 lengths.
Andrew Thornton originally from Navan was leading pony rider and also spent a season with Howard Johnson in England. It made the journey all worth while for connections who made the long trip down from Omagh in Co Tyrone.
