Anak Justifies the Odds
Those that piled into Anak at 6/4 this morning were proved correct as the Aga Khan's Sinndar gelding beat Won In The Dark by six lengths in the Almotech Eclipse Maiden for John Oxx.
Fran Berry sent the 4/7 shot to the front over three furlongs out and from over a furlong out it was clear that he was holding too much in the locker for Won In The Dark.
Berry said: "It was an easier race today than Killarney. We were unlucky to come up against a good horse there (Moon Indigo)."
Won In The Dark ran a reasonable trial for the dayshotelgalway.com Q.R. Handicap on the opening evening of next week's Galway Festival.
