America calling for Jubilant Note
American racing awaits Jubilant Note following the gelding's ninth career success under an excellent waiting ride from Ruby Walsh, in the Water Towers Chase at Ballinrobe this evening.
Walsh held the son of Sadler's Wells up third of the runners, before producing the gelding to lead at the final fence, running out the two and a half lengths winner from Barna Bay
Afterwards winning trainer Mick Murphy, who has done well to win eight races with the gelding, stated “he was well-in at these weights but we were worried about the ground.”
He added “we'll now aim Jubilant Note at two races in America. The first is the Lonesome Glory Steeplechase at Belmont Park, over 2m ½f, on September 20 and the second race is the $250,000 American National over 2m4f at Fairhill, New Jersey on October 17.”
