The Copper Coast (Ladies Pro/Am) Flat Race was run at a steady pace and locally-trained contender Amboyna (6/5 fav, from 4/7 in the morning) was always to the fore under Maxine O'Sullivan.
Having led until just before the halfway stage, Mrs Diana Vasicek's homebred daughter of Mount Nelson was back in front travelling well two furlongs out and was pushed clear to readily account for newcomer Kared’as De Cougny by eight-and-a-half lengths.
After being placed on her previous three starts, the John Kiely-trained filly was getting off the mark on her fifth appearance.
"She finally got her turn," said Kiely.
"She has been running well but just coming up against a few too good. She is a big four-year-old and is a bit fresh and frisky. She might go for a mares' winners' bumper now at Limerick in a few weeks time."
