Ambitious Fan takes opener at Gowran Park
Ambitious Fan justified his short price in the opening 'Tetratema - Son of the Tetrarch' maiden hurdle at Gowran Park with a cosy victory in the hands of Mark Walsh.
The 13/8 favourite hit the front under Mark Walsh before three out and went on to beat Philip Enright and Jerry's Agent by four lengths.
Winning trainer Matthieu Palussiere said afterwards: "She's a nicely bred French filly. I suppose she'll improve in time."
"She stays and we wouldn't be afraid of bringing her over fences in the future."
"She'll be lightly raced this season and we'll try and pick up some black type for her."
