Starspangledbanner's first runners cross-channel have been quickly into stride and his daughter Anthem Alexander was impressive in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Tipperary.
The Noel O'Callaghan-owned and bred chestnut had been an eye-catcher on her debut at the Curragh and she came forward beautifully from that to lead over a furlong out before going on to easily beat Puck Fair by all of seven lengths in the hands of Pat Smullen.
Eddie Lynam trains Anthem Alexander and he said: "I'm very happy with her. I'll have to have a chat with the owner but if I get his blessing she'll go for the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot."
Indications afterwards were that if she makes the journey it would be a first juvenile participant at the Royal meeting for the Lynam stable. (AM & EM)
