Alanza a bit too classy for Ballycorus rivals
Alanza accounts for Marvada at Leopardstown

Alanza was odds-on to beat her five rivals in the Group 3 Ballycorus Stakes and despite a brave bid from Marvada the 'jolly' got the job done to bring up a double at Leopardstown for John Oxx, Johnny Murtagh and His Highness The Aga Khan.
Earlier successful on the exciting prospect, Harasiya Murtagh bided his time on Alanza and he always looked happy that he'd have too much up his sleeve for the pace-setting Marvada, a neck separating them at the line.
Oxx remarked: "She won nicely as we hoped she would. She doesn't do a lot in front – I thought she was going to win two lengths but she was dossing in front.
"The ground is gone a bit for her, she wants good to firm – she loves that.
"I think we'll give her another shot at a Group 1, in the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket. She's good at seven furlongs but we'll give her one more shot at a mile.
"We decided against taking her over for the Windsor Forest as it's tough at Ascot." (GC & EM)
