Akasaka breezes through the claimer
Akasaka won handily at Dundalk under Fran Berry

Akasaka (bought back by the yard for 15K) was 'put through the floor' (at least 15/8 this morning into 10/11) for thetote.com Claiming Race at Dundalk and the son of King's Best delivered in style under Fran Berry.
He might have been sporting a rather large pair of cheek-pieces but the five-year-old was in pretty determined fashion on this occasion as he took over from a furlong and a half out before keeping on strongly in the final furlong to beat the front-running Baitsileir by four and three parts of a length.
Eddie Lynam owns and trains Akasaka and Berry explained: "He had good form over the winter and he's a bit of a polytrack specialist (2nd win here).
"They went a nice pace and he went to the line well. Whilst he mightn't get ten and a half furlongs he'd certainly get another furlong or two." (MG & EM)
