Agitare bounced back to form when running out a game winner of the Safer Gambling Race at Naas this afternoon.
Jim Bolger 's charge recorded his first success since Listowel in 2020 when repelling all comers in the mile conditions race. Wuqood looked a big danger when throwing down a challenge a furlong-and-a-half from home but couldn't find a way past Luke McAteer's mount.
The 10/1 shot then held the late charge of Saltonstall by a neck to secure his second career victory.
“I think this might be the first time he's run on really bad ground,” said Bolger.
“He had a fairly lean season and could go to Dundalk. I'd love to see him over hurdles.”
