They might have taken the previous race had You Say Nothing not fallen at the second last, but that was put to the side for Gavin Cromwell and Jonathan Moore when Wadiyatink Now cruised home in the Follow Fairyhouse On Social Media Handicap Hurdle.
The trainer and jockey were also beaten a nose earlier, with Gabynako in the five-year-old plus maiden hurdle, and a deserved success arrived as well-bred mare Wadiyatink Now secured a second win.
Her form for Cromwell now reads ‘1U1,’ and for good measure here the Danestown operator also had the third, Georgieshore
Georgieshore or the rest could offer little resistance to the sweet-travelling 4/1 victor, over the closing couple of flights.
Wadiyatink Now crossed the line three and a half lengths to the good from Ballymadun prompting Cromwell’s assistant Feidhlim Cunningham to say: “That was great. Obviously she unseated the last day but she's two from two for us in completed starts.
“She's improving. Johnny rode a patient race on her there and got a bit of better ground. It worked a dream and she won well.”
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Fighting Fit (GB), trained by J.P.Dempsey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
J.M. Moore, rider of Wadiyatink Now trained by Gavin Cromwell, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount when given light jumped right at the second last hurdle.
R.A. Doyle, rider of The Hunter Hoe trained by Conor O'Dwyer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount was pulled up in running having sustained an injury.
