Ad Idem holds on for Navan success
Form-lines involving Flat Out (reported injured this morning) received an untimely boost at Navan today, with Ad Idem second to Flat Out at Punchestown 17 days ago, winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase at Navan today.
Ridden by Andrew McNamara, Ad Idem (3/1 - 2/1) went clear from two out and looked to have the race in safe-keeping before tiring on the run-in, eventually scoring by an all-out half length margin over Ballymak
Afterwards Ad Idem’s trainer Pauline Gavin said “Ad Idem loved that ground and we’ll look for a novice chase now. He loves this track and there is a novice handicap chase back here in March for him.
