Actress regained the winning thread when taking the featured Group 3 TRM Ballyogan Stakes at the Curragh this evening.
The Declaration Of War filly was prominent throughout when landing the Group 3 Anglesey Stakes over course and distance on Irish Oaks Day 11 months ago, and Seamie Heffernan adopted similar tactics here.
The 11/2 chance was soon in front over this straight six-furlong test, and she took control when asserting over a furlong out.
She kept on well inside the final furlong to beat Gorane by a length and a quarter, with 13/8 favourite just a nose further back in third.
Winning trainer Aidan O’Brien said, “She’s a good solid filly. Seamus was delighted with her, she likes the fast ground and six furlongs is her.
“She might go on to Ascot now for the Commonwealth Cup. She’s solid, hardy and consistent and Seamus gave her a lovely ride.”
