Act Of God returned following a 202 days absence to win the Dromahane Handicap Hurdle at Cork today for trainer Edward O'Grady and jockey Rachael Blackmore.
The son of Camelot won twice at Tramore last year, scoring a flat maiden win for Blackmore at the August festival, and today had his first start since January when over-turning strong 10/11 favourite Shanroe by five and a half lengths.
Afterwards O'Grady stated “I was hoping he'd run well in his first handicap (hurdle), he was in good form for his first run back and I was hoping for the best.
“He won't go to Galway and has won twice around Tramore so could go back there. He could run again on the flat and I'll discuss it with Mr Comer. I had a winner for Brian (Comer) at Kilbeggan last Friday too and it's nice to have another one.”
