Able Jack (17/2) won the Tote Pays You More At Tote.ie Claiming Race under a determined drive from Joey Sheridan.
The 8-year-old tracked the leaders but needed plenty of encouragement from his rider to hold his position. He was briefly outpaced and then short of room two furlongs out but stayed in contention and, when a gap materialised at the furlong marker, Sheridan rode him into it and the Iffraaj gelding got up close home to register a seventh career victory.
The always prominent Haayem (11/2) was runner-up with Silverkode (7/1) in third and half a length and a neck were the winning margins.
Adrian Joyce, assistant to winning owner/trainer Ger O’Leary, said: “We're delighted to get that and Joey gave him a super ride.
“He galvanised him from the word go as he wasn't really travelling for him. He did the job and we're delighted.
“We have him over a year-and-a-half now and it's great to get a win into him. If he's claimed he'll be fun for someone else.”
All runners were available to be claimed for 5,000 euros and two found new homes.
Sixth-place finisher Pimstrel was claimed by Laura Hourigan and owner David Eiffe claimed the fourth home War Hero (9/4 fav) with the latter set to join Dermot McLoughlin's yard.
