Aasleagh Fawn outgunned well backed 6/5 favourite Eight And Bob in the extended mile and a half handicap at Bellewstown.
The 7/1 shot was steered into the lead by Gary Halpin with less than a quarter of a mile to travel and fended off the 'jolly' by half a length. Stander was four lengths away in third at 18/1.
Trainer Gavin Cromwell said: "She was a little bit disappointing the last day as I thought she would nearly draw in Ballinrobe. The owners are local, so it's great to win for everyone.
"I would think so, definitely (jump a hurdle). We went to the Flat with her because she wasn't big enough but she is now.
"Look she's no star and it was low grade here, but it's nice to win one with her."
