Colin Keane notched his third winner of the evening at Killarney in the Grand Hotel Killarney Handicap as he brought Sharp Focus through to lead half-a-furlong from home en route to a three quarters of a length success over Havana Breeze Button Popper was just a further head back in third, with the winner’s stable companion High Altitude in fourth spot.
The winner had finished runner-up over a mile and a half on his previous run at Tipperary, but handled the drop in distance with aplomb to enhance his trainer John Murphy’s fine record at the track.
“My horses are running well and that was great” commented the winning handler.
"He is a horse who could progress once he goes up in trip”.
