A Twist Of Fate made all in Fairyhouse to give Pat Martin and Danny Mullins a success in Division One of the two and a half mile handicap hurdle.
Mullins dictated the pace throughout as his mount raced clear at times and then was also closer to the pursuers.
A Twist Of Fate had plenty in the tank though as he was well clear two out. Mullins could afford to ease him down on the run-in to score by three and a quarter lengths at 10/1.
Steamboay Quay (4/1) picked up runner-up money with Meadow Cross in third at 9/2.
Danny Mullins said: "It was a bit rough going down to the first the last day at Navan and he got a bump. He was wearing blinkers for the first time and got a bit of a fright. I still liked him and thought he could win a race. He was very good today."
