Favourite backers got plenty of cheer as Fearachain eased away from his six rivals in the two and a half mile maiden hurdle at Wexford.
Danny Mullins hunted him round in fourth before improving to second heading to the home straight.
The leader, He's Our Robin, came under pressure at the second last as Fearachain (6/4) travelled well to hit the front there.
Once he negotiated the last, he pulled away to score by six and a half lengths. Hes Our Robin (13/8) kept on for second. He was a length and a quarter ahead of Buckeye Shan
Trainer Tony Mullins said: "I thought he was entitled to do that on his bumper form. I will talk to Peter and Sandra (McCarthy) but I'd say he will go for the two mile five handicap hurdle on the Saturday of Galway.
"Maybe it is a tough assignment to go for one of those big ones on a first run in a handicap but sure we are going to give it a shot now away. He has had two runs fairly quick now so I'd say he won't go to Killarney and will go to Galway."
Danny Mullins rode the winner for his father Tony while David Mullins was on board the runner-up for his father Tom.
Fearachain was backed down from 9/4 this morning.
