Togoville had a couple of zeros directly next to his name, but on his first outing for 56 days, the grey returned to form to land the GAIN Handicap at Dundalk under Declan McDonogh at odds of 20/1.
McDonogh soon had Georgios Pakidis' charge up there forcing the issue, and in gaining a seventh win at the venue the Verglas gelding was game up the straight to hold all comers at bay.
At the finish Togoville had the upper hand by a length and a quarter and half a length from Shepherd's Purse and Oneoveryou
"He's had very awkward trips on his last couple of runs from outside draws and he can't find his momentum," said Pakidis.
"He got lucky today as he broke very sharp and got right into the lead. If he gets a trip like this he can beat any horse.
"He has always been in good form and I've never had any problem. He ran two bad races and we gave him a little bit of a breather, although he never stopped training.
"He'll probably come back here next month for the fast track qualifier over six furlongs and we'll go from there."
K.J. Leonard, rider of Split The Atom trained by David Marnane, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount failed to hold his position early and he pulled back when running short of room on the inner.
