64/1 Double for Gary Carroll
Gary Carroll (19-y-o 8th winner of the season and 15th in all) rode the first double of his career when he added to his earlier gains on The Tooth Fairy by getting Articilitis home by three parts of a length in the Ladbrokes.com Handicap.
This maiden after thirteen attempts was never far off the pace and she responded well to her riders urgings to get on top close home, beating Ghost Mist who had struck for home from two furlongs out.
Des McDonogh, the winning trainer, said: "Gary gave her a cracking ride. He did all he was asked to do. This mare has been knocking on the door and she deserved to win. Gary's father, Raymond rode a winner for us many moons ago at Sligo."
