Fog Of War (Colin Keane) stays on too well for Karezak

Colin Keane followed up his win in the second on My Good Brother with another all the way success on the Ger Lyons-trained Fog Of War in the Follow @TipperaryRaces Median Auction Maiden.
The betting suggested that this extended mile and a half event would boil down to a match between Fog Of War (7/2 into 11/4) and Karezak (4/6) and so it proved as the former stayed going well through the final two furlong to fend off the 'hot-pot' by a length and a quarter.
"The ground and the step up in trip improved him.
"This is the colt that had me most excited going into winter last year and coming down here I had the King George V Handicap over a mile and a half in mind for Royal Ascot.
"He still could go there but he also has the option of the Queen's Vase over two miles as I think he'll get the trip.
"The dream rolls on to Royal Ascot anyway," said Lyons in the aftermath. (AM & EM)
