Hawthorn Echo ran a huge race for a 66/1 shot but she eventually had to yield to Longoddson in the Family Fun Day May 20th Maiden at Limerick.
A local winner, for the Kilmallock yard of Austin Leahy, Shane Foley got Longoddson home by half a length from Hawthorn Echo. Agent Zigzag ran well on his debut, staying on for third place, four and a half lengths adrift.
"I was hoping he'd do that and he is big, 17.2hh and he'll improve," stated Leahy on his 6/1 winner.
"I don't know where he's going but I hope the handicapper won't kill him as that's where he could run next (a handicap)."
