Eleven to four favourite My Good Brother enjoyed the unique assignment thrown up by racing on the strand at Laytown when completing an across-the-card double for trainer Tom McCourt, winning the At The Races Handicap under Colin Keane.
My Good Brother was on terms from halfway in this six furlong event, and he led over a furlong out, keeping on well for a two and a half length verdict over Jamie Osborne's raider, Summersault Mr Bounty (16s into 13/2) was never nearer than at the finish in fourth place.
"We fancied the lad (Stamp Of Authority) in Listowel. Jamie Osborne stabled his horses with me and he was second there. It was a good result," commented McCourt.
"My Good Brother has been dropping down, he only got 3lbs for winning the last day. He'll probably get a bit more this time. He seems to be getting his confidence back, he's coming back to himself. If he's well enough he'll go to Dundalk on Friday week."
