Ger Lyons and Colin Keane weighed in with a treble at odds of over 46/1 when Mawaany gave his owner David Spratt a double on the night in the Race Displays Maiden at Dundalk.
Beginning for these connections, Mawaany, a grey gelded son of Teofilo, was backed from 2/1 into 11/10 favourite for this extended mile and a quarter assignment.
After the patiently ridden Mawaany had gotten there in time to beat The Invisible Dog by a neck, Shane Lyons said: "He had a break after being bought at the Newmarket Horses in Training Sale and will come on a lot from that run. Colin said he would appreciate good ground in the summer over a mile and a half. He needs another two furlongs."
Lyons and Keane earlier scored with Rock In Peace (Sean Jones) and Cocoa Beach (David Spratt).
The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Hamley (FR), trained by Peter Fahey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame behind post race.
