44/1 double for Elliott and Codd
Fort Smith (Jamie Codd) holds on from Way Wild West

Gordon Elliott and Jamie Codd took both bumpers on Ballinrobe's card, adding to their victory half an hour earlier with Bell Walks Day as the Gigginstown House Stud owned Fort Smith sent favourite backers home happy after the finale, the Family Day 22nd July Flat Race.
It wasn't all plain sailing for Fort Smith with him shying at a marker pole near the line with a circuit to race but Codd seemed content with his position at the head of affairs from a fair way out.
It looked like Fort Smith had fought off Way Wild West and Codd eased up fifty yards out. He eventually crossed the line half a length to the good.
The Wexford amateur explained: "He was leaning left and my arm was getting fairly dead. I half mistook the line to be honest but thankfully I had enough in reserve.
"I think the ground is the big key to him and as a Presenting he probably wants a bit of nice ground. He's acted on that there today.
"The main thing was to get him out and get him away and to get him enjoying himself. In fairness when the other horse has come to me he has battled – he'll be fine." (DM & EM)
