A seven to four joint favourite beat his fellow market leader in the opener and it was something very similar in race two at Limerick as Scarlet And Dove (13/8 jt fav) saw off Larquebuse (13/8 jt fav).
For Gigginstown House Stud, Joseph O’Brien and Donagh Meyler Scarlet And Dove bossed things from the front in this Limerick Racecourse Vets Mares Beginners Chase.
Larquebuse couldn’t match the successful daughter of Jeremy approaching two out and eight and a half length eventually separated them.
Stable representative Brendan Powell said: “She was very professional. Donagh said she could do with a decent gallop but he let her pop along in front. She can hang right-handed but she was good today.
“She’s put it to bed nicely there and it’s nice to get her head in front. There is a good programme for mares so she’ll probably be looking for some black type.”
