Adrian Keatley's Elusive Duchess made an impressive debut when scooting home in the fillies' maiden over a mile in Listowel.
The 33/1 shot stormed to the front over a furlong out and galloped away to win by three lengths under Gary Carroll. Vienna Circle was best of the rest at 10/1. She was two and a quarter lengths in front of third-placed Tjukurrpa (66/1).
Adrian Keatley said: "She is a smart filly but at the moment the confidence wouldn't be too high to going punting!
"She seemed to be doing that on that gallops so we were expecting her to run well but of course it was a bit of a surprise.
"She is smart though and will be nicer next year as she is small and there isn't much of her in it.
"We won't overly run her this year but hopefully there is a good prize in her some day; hopefully that gets the ball rolling now." New Terms the 8/11 favourite, was prominent throughout but had no answers in the final quarter of a mile and came in 11th. She was found to be stiff post-race.
