Solar Heat followed stable companions Dawn Shadow and Newsworthy as winners for Dot Love in recent days when triumphant in the Marshes Shopping Centre Ladies Day 12th July Apprentice Handicap at Dundalk.

Ben Coen got the Jeremy mare there in time to touch off favourite Easy Boy by a short head with a neck back to Universal Focus in third.

"She was entitled to be bang there," said Love's assistant Ciaran Murphy.

"She needed it the last evening and Ben knew her this evening. He gave her a peach of a ride.

"She was brought into the race lovely and came with one run.

"She won't keep coming back here and can run over hurdles and fences. We'll pick something for her in the near future.

"There will be plenty of opportunities for her over the summer and we'll try and win a few more."
