28/1 win doesn't surprise winning trainer

Second and third home, Aggression and Russian Soul had their placings reversed after a steward's enquiry, but the main honours in the Christmas Party Nights At Dundalk Stadium Handicap went to 28/1 chance Oneoveryou
Russian Soul couldn't get a clear run, and he ended up a neck and a head off Oneoveryou and Aggression. The latter, the well-backed 6/4 favourite, edged into Russian Soul and was therefore demoted.
Oneoveryou won her maiden at odds of 20/1, so she's been a profitable one for punters to back blindly on all starts, and tonight on her fourteenth outing overall, and on her fourth for the Steve Mahon yard, she prevailed under Conor Hoban.
Mahon revealed: "I wasn't surprised and I backed her here at 50/1. She got 10lb for her first run (for me) here, and then got a bad mud-rash and I probably shouldn't have run her at the Curragh.
"The last day her race was over after 100 yards when she got badly squeezed early but ran on again at the finish.
"She's a good little filly, and is really my only Flat horse. Training Flat horses is easy but my heart is really in the jumpers.
"He Rock's has three miles further (than this race) to go on Sunday (in the Porterstown Handicap Chase) at Fairyhouse.
"He got murdered by my own horse the last day at Galway but has come out of the race well. I was disappointed he didn't get into the Troytown at Navan last Sunday (when first reserve) but that's the way things go."
Owner/breeder of Oneoveryou, Michael O'Dea, lives near Claregalway.
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the final furlong involving Russian Soul, ridden by S. Foley, placed third, Aggression, ridden by S.B. Kelly, placed second and Oneoveryou, ridden by C.P. Hoban, placed first, where it appeared Russian Soul received interference.
Evidence was heard from the riders concerned.
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards reversed the placings of the second and third placed horses and took no further action.
The amended result now reads;
1st Oneoveryou
2nd Russian Soul
3rd Aggression
4th Go Kart 0A5th Split The Atom 0A6th Swiss Cross (GB)
