Earlier a winner on To Glory for Ger Lyons, Colin Keane helped Ado McGuinness to a double of his own with Betrayed in the finale on the all-weather tonight, the Follow Us On Twitter @DundalkStadium Handicap.

McGuinness had struck with the Cian MacRedmond-ridden Is That Love in the 45 to 65 mile handicap, race six, and a follow up was expected as Betrayed headed the market for her assignment at 11/4.

Trainer Richard O’Brien (a winner with Irish Acclaim in the preceding heat) was painfully denied a brace himself when in a tremendous conclusion to the nightcap, Betrayed short-headed Eloso who had looked like he’d just done enough.

Afterwards McGuinness reflected: “She needed all that Colin Keane strength in the finish!

“She’s game and Colin said I could even drop her back as she was so quick out of the stalls tonight. That’s her second win here.

“We’ll probably try and win again and then maybe sell her as my wife owns half of her with Gary Devlin.

“She’s a real fun filly here and hopefully she’ll progress again.”

D.E. Sheehy, rider of Amazing Emma trained by Liam McAteer, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount hung right leaving the stalls until reaching the bend.
