Fozzy Stack doubled his Tramore score in the Dan Cowman Memorial Maiden when Acrux Cass got there on the line to win event number three at the seaside venue.
It was Chris Hayes that was aboard the first winner for the Thomastown Castle handler, Tooreen Katie in race one, but Billy Lee took the reins on Acrux Cass.
Lee was also aboard the Footstepsinthesand colt when he just lost out at Killarney last month, and there was to be no repeat of his short head defeat this time.
Indeed he turned it around to the very same margin, getting there in time to defeat front-runner Calgath
It was a length and a half then to Moanbaun Maestro in third, with three parts of a length back to Baliyad (a 4/6 shot) in fourth.
"He was great and settled away lovely here today," said Lee.
"He progressed from his last run at Killarney. I had mentioned it after Killarney that he should come here, and it's worked out well.
"He done it well and is progressing away. He will be a lovely horse going that little bit further and in time with a hurdle in front of him."
