After an earlier success on the Noel Kelly-trained Wooster in the 7.00, Chris Hayes completed 47/1 Dundalk double aboard Richard O'Brien's Indian Tomahawk in division one of the www.dundalkstadium.com Handicap.
Indian Tomahawk tracked the leaders in this extended mile and a quarter heat, and he was fifth at the halfway stage.
The six-year-old made headway early in the straight and he was ridden to lead over a furlong out, keeping on well under pressure inside the final furlong.
At the line Indian Tomahawk had half a length in hand over Marino Marvel
"He's been great. He won here not so long ago but he has been a little bit frustrating on nights as well where he hasn't helped himself early," said O'Brien.
"Today, for some reason, he jumped brilliant and settled in a perfect spot. When he did that you think 'tonight's his night.'
"He's great for the lads that own him. He's been a great horse for them. There might be something back here in three weeks time for him.
"He was very tough. Chris said he might have delayed his challenge a little longer in different circumstances but I'd have preferred to see him getting run out of it rather than not getting there.
"He's doing his job, that's the most important thing with him, and hopefully there will be more nights."
