2 for Halford and Whelan at Dundalk
Luna's Luck (Ronan Whelan, nearside) touches off Smart Stinger (Chris Hayes)

Following on from Playa Del Puente in the opener, there was a second Dundalk win for Michael Halford and Ronan Whelan in race three when Luna's Luck just prevailed.
This first split of the Irishinjuredjockeys.com Handicap saw a few in with chances approaching the business end.
At the line though Luna's Luck did enough to get there by a neck from Smart Stinger
"He showed form up here earlier in the year. I'm delighted for the owner (James Mathews) as he's had to be patient with him. It's the first winner that we've had for him and he's based in Sri Lanka," said Halford.
"He's game and he is what he is. Seven furlongs is a good trip for him and he handles that surface.
"Ronan gave him a very strong ride and he needed it but he had a willing partner. You'll see plenty of him up here over the winter."
