Aragorn Rouge stretches on from Solid Air

Aragorn Rouge beat Danick Of Time here three weeks ago when finally shedding his maiden tag and after that fellow franked the form earlier, Eddie Lynam's charge landed the Group Bookings At Dundalk Rated Race under Sam James.
It is amazing what a win can do, as after taking twelve attempts to eventually get off the mark, the victorious Aragorn gelding travelled with a real purpose here. He went on over a furlong out and the well-backed 3/1 chance (from 5s this morning) went on to beat his stable companion Solid Air by a length. General Bunching (5/2 this morning into 6/4) could manage only fifth.
Lynam joked afterwards: "Judging by the face of the owner of the second (his wife Aileen, owner of Solid Air) my dinner is in the dog!
"It's nice to get another win with him (Aragorn Rouge). He's for sale and he'd be a nice buy for someone as he always runs his race.
"Tactics played a part there as the time was quite slow. That's great as we've been hitting the bar all night." (AM & EM)
