After race at Ballinrobe Mon, 27th May, 2024 (1st)
Michael said he had a blow at the second-last which he was entitled to as he's been off a long time. He was a good horse and we had to mind him and get him back. He loves that fast ground and Michael said he's a great horse to jump and measures his fences well. He was in good nick and I was hoping for a big run. He gets three miles so we'll see what's coming up for him. These veterans' races are a great idea for horses like him who've missed a year with injury, it's great to have them, and we'll see if we can find something similar for him in three or four weeks time.

After race at Roscommon Tue, 8th Jun, 2021 (1st)
I said to Paddy today that we were going to try and drop him in a bit, as there would be plenty of pace, and just try and get him home. The last day in Ballinrobe he was a bit keen and had run his race at halfway. I knew if he settled he'd get the trip as he had won a couple of point-to-points. Paddy said he felt turning in that he had plenty of horse. He saved and saved a bit and when he went for him he obviously stayed at it. He jumped well and it was great. That should man him up a bit there too. The biggest thing was to get him to relax and he's obviously done that today.

To be honest I thought he'd win a race before now,. He was very good in his point-to-points and we liked him. Conor said at the back of the fourth last he thought he had another circuit to go he was going that easy. He jumped and galloped. On better ground he's a bit keen and probably settled a bit better on that ground today. It was a good performance. We'll step him up and trip won't be an issue either. We'll look for a novice in three or four weeks time. I think that was a nice race.
