whatever it is up here just brings out the best in him. He jumped very quick and was lightning for a small horse. I thought at the weight he would run well, not as well as those who backed him, I don't know where that came from! He's just a real specialist for up here. He's great value (Darragh O'Keefe), his 5lbs claim is unreal. That's two rides two winners for me. He's a sharp sort of a lad and he used his head very well.

he loves it up here and Conor (Maxwell) has him down to a tee dropping him back and he loves just finding himself picking up to them again. He has plenty of ability. These type of tracks suit him; there's a race in Galway and that's the kind of track will suit him. He doesn't mind it soft but once the real winter horses come out he might just find it a bit hard. We'll put him away then for the spring and summer. It's unfortunate what happened that day (when he was disqualified) - we have still no idea where the weight went.

It was a bit of a sickener the last day. He loves these type of tracks. I was going to go to Tramore but he was after having two runs in a week so I said I would wait for this. He's getting it together a bit now. Hopefully we'll come back up here (next month on the 28th). I'd say here suits him better with the stiff finish. It's a pity it's not two on the trot now!
