Reports in which Mister Farmer (FR) was mentioned
Mister Farmer ploughs through the ground
Mister Farmer has prevailed in wars of attrition in the past and seven years after Numbersixvalverde's heroics in the Irish National, the colours of Bernard Carroll got another successful airing at Fairyhouse when the first-named triumphed in the Fairyhouse Committee Handicap Chase under Niall 'Slippers' Madden. Tue 10th AprShelly in another Gowran surprise
Following the success of 50/1 shot Tango Banbou earlier, bookmakers got another cracker of a result when 20/1 chance Shellys Creek ran out a convincing winner of the Paulstown Handicap Chase at Gowran under Shane Jackson. Sat 24th MarTop-weight Tharawaat shines
The feature Dara Cassidy Memorial Handicap Steeplechase at Galway was the scene of an impressive performance by top-weight Tharawaat on his seasonal reappearance. Sun 23rd OctFarmer scores for Brassil/Madden
The Martin Brassil trained Mister Farmer won the Eadestown Handicap Chase at Punchestown today, under a well judged ride from Niall Madden. Wed 09th FebFarmer eventually earns his corn
Mister Farmer came home best of the four with a chance going to the last, Niall 'Slippers' Madden getting what was required out of his mount to beat Barcardero by half a length in the Headfort Handicap Chase. Sat 27th Mar
After race at Fairyhouse Tue, 10th Apr, 2012 (1st)
He's had a couple of fractures in his time. I expected him to do that earlier in the season but my horses weren't firing. He ran really well last time although beaten ten lengths.
Martin Brassil
After race at Punchestown Wed, 9th Feb, 2011 (1st)
Mister Farmer always threatened to win a hurdle off his mark and while I though he would improve from his second last start, didn't improve in a similar type race at Leopardstown on his next start. The switch back to fences made the difference and he seems to enjoy chasing . we'll find something suitable again next.
Martin Brassil
After race at Navan Sat, 27th Mar, 2010 (1st)
That is his first win over jumps after fifteen attempts (dating back to the end of August 2006). He won on the flat in France. He fell at the first the last day and the priority here was to get him jumping early and to take it from there.
