I'm delighted with that. Barry gave him a grand ride, he was very strong on him at the end and he needed it. He would have loved to have the two hurdles there, unfortunately they can't be there for safety reasons, as he's a lovely quick jumper at home. We did have a bit of a concern about the ground, I was here early this morning and there was a lot of rain fell. I just thought it might take the edge of him a bit coming up the straight. They went quick enough early on but he finished very strong. He'll stay further than two miles by the look of things. He had a few niggly problems since the last day but that was good. The rail helped him in the end, I thought for a while that Rachael was holding him. I'm delighted we won it anyway. On a little bit better ground he'd be even better and he'll probably be heading for Fairyhouse and Punchestown.

After race at Leopardstown Mon, 8th Mar, 2021 (1st)
We felt he was very unlucky the last day in Punchestown when he was only touched off. A few things went wrong and the line just came a little bit quick for him. Today we felt he had improved from the last run but I felt it was a hot bumper. I felt if he finished in the first three of four I'd be happy. Looking at the speed they went off at, it looked like a quick run bumper in my eyes anyway. I think our horse was the only one of the front bunch that stayed there. I thought it was a dead-heat or that we might have been second, especially when Jamie Codd is on the other side of you. I'm very happy to win it and I think he is a nice horse. He likes a bit of good ground and the ground is lovely here. I'd say he'll go to Punchestown for something and then that'll be it. The other horse was a bit unexpected but I thought this lad would be there or thereabouts.
