Dasheen win shrouded in sadness
Dasheen had reportedly given his County Tyrone-based trainer Lady Jane Gillespie a great lift during her illness when winning at Tipperary in April. The Bahamian Bounty gelding came up trumps again in the immediate aftermath of Lady Jane's death to score in the concluding Paulstown Handicap at Gowran. Tue 23rd MayReview gowran park 23rd May

Dasheen scores on first Irish start
Dasheen came with a well-timed run inside the final furlong to claim the second division of the seven-furlong handicap at Tipperary. Tue 11th Apr
After race at Gowran Park Tue, 23rd May, 2017 (1st)
I'm delighted but sad at the same time. It was nice to get it but you couldn't write it - the boss is being buried tomorrow. It's going to be tough but that will ease it a bit. She had a winner in a point-to-point on Saturday, and this horse was her first winner on the Flat. He's been a good servant to us, and hopefully he can get another one.
