the Flynns (owners) are committed breeders and will have as much fun watching her in the paddocks with her foals in the coming years as they would racing. on ratings she was the best treated today and I think obviously Envoi Allen is not right and Monkfish probably didn't run his true race and she did. She ran a true race and probably even ran a better race than at Cheltenham. It was a nice send off for her and fabulous for the Flynns and fabulous for Danny as well.

She jumps very well and takes it all in her stride. Paul (Townend, winning jockey) was very happy with her and how she did everything for him with no fuss about her,. There's a Grade 2 chase at Limerick in March that we're looking at next but whether or not she has higher expectations or not I don't know. I'll chat with the owners but they were hoping coming here today to hopefully win and then go on to Limerick. We might revise plans but we'll see; whether or not she has enough experience over fences to go to Cheltenham is another day's work. Certainly what she has done at Limerick over Christmas and today would lead you to think she might have as good a chance as anything over there.

That was a nice surprise. He jumped great and capitalised on the very fast early pace which seemed to catch out a lot of the runners. Bryan was terrific, just keeping him together and keeping him jumping. He took what was left to him after they went too fast early on. He could stick at that trip, but you’d obviously look at a longer trip for him, maybe two and a half. I’d imagine the Dublin Racing Festival will be the plan, we’ll see how he comes out of this race today.

It was a good performance. She was always very good to jump at home from day one, and the aim today was a clear round and hopefully we’d be in the mix down over the last two. I knew she’d keep galloping — she is very tough, not fast — and once Paul (Townend, on Asterion Forlonge) fell, it opened things up. But it still wasn’t going to be easy from there — when the other horse (Pencilfulloflead) joined her it definitely helped. There is a good programme for mares nowadays, and the Flynns (owners) will be delighted because they will probably breed from her and she is now a Grade One winner in bumpers and over fences.

she was the best horse in the race so I kept it simple and on form you'd hope she would beat all of those. Her jumping was slick which should see her step up to the next level over hurdles and I imagine Willie will find a Listed or Graded race for her next. She should also get further and distance won't be any trouble for her but she also travels well too.

Niall (Flynn, owner) rang me up the other day and said she'd won the mares bumper last year so let's go for the Champion bumper. I thought 'well why not',. He was hoping that she might get some black-type and finish second or third. Jamie worked the oracle and managed to squeeze a win out of her. She goes jumping now. She's a fine big mare, she can jump and she'll go over fences eventually.

She's very good. We went very slow and she was a little keen because of it. She got to the front very easily and was then a bit green. I think she's definitely a black type mare, and whether she goes to Leopardstown or Aintree or Punchestown there will be a lot of fun to be had with her in the spring. It's the first horse that I can remember that the Flynn's have had with us, and it's nice to wear these colours.
