After race at Tipperary Sun, 6th Oct, 2013 (1st) 
You couldn't retire a horse like him. It wasn't as good a race as last year, but he's still showing the right signs. He's something else and he's a class horse. There's not much more you can say about him. It mightn't have been the strongest Grade 2, but it wasn't a bad race. For a horse of his age it's brilliant. I was a tiny bit worried three out, but Mark said there was plenty there and he nearly got there too soon and it turned into a bit of a sprint. If he needed coaxing he'd be a waste of time, but he's like AP [McCoy] and he doesn't want to retire. I'm just so thrilled to win today. We'll take a deep breath now and see what's coming up, but we won't go to the well too often.

I wasn't surprised. I'm biased, but the horse has never got the credit he deserves for how good he is. He had a bit of bad luck in the Galway Hurdle. He missed the break, but we were beaten fair and square by Rebel Fitz here. We'll stick to hurdling for the moment, but plans are fluid. There's no point in experimenting with him at 11. I'll be lucky to have another one like him.

class is permanent - he is something else! . He'll probably go back hurdling now and we will look at the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary next.

After race at Tipperary Sun, 17th Jul, 2011 (1st)
Captain Cee Bee as he is a very very good horse and this will leave him spot on for Galway. He is top weight in the Plate and while that has always been his objective, we'll sit down now and finalise plans. He has 10st11lbs in the Galway Hurdle and plans could change between now and then . it's a quandary which race to go for but it's a nice quandary to have. It's a better than worrying about one getting into a 47-60 flat handicap at Ballinrobe or dropping out of the system altogether!

That's the first box ticked and the next question is what are the other boxes. There are a lot of races for him and I don't want to commit right now. The ultimate aim is the Queen Mother and we'll take it day-by-day. He looks as good as ever. I'll look at something in late November, early December. There's the Tingle Creek and Durkan Chase. Then we'll look at the Dial-A-Bet Chase at Leopardstown over Christmas. I don't want to abuse him and he'll get a nice break then before Cheltenham. He's an exciting prospect and I'm blessed to have him.

He cruised into the lead. Fosters Cross took them along at a good clip but like at Leopardstown he was gone by him in two strides, I was expecting him to come back again but our fellow is just very good, there is not much else you can say. I blame myself slightly for what happened at Aintree in 2008 (burst a blood vessel and pulled up). It might have been too soon, a trip back to England three weeks after his Cheltenham win. He was relatively inexperienced and it probably just caught up with him.

That was good, better than good. He done it well but nearly got caught out for the lack of a recent run in the last hundred yards. I'm thrilled with the way he jumped and travelled and I couldn't have been disappointed even if he had got caught. Touch-wood everything will be okay in the morning. The race in Leopardstown (the Grade 1 Bord Na Mona Novice Chase on St Stephen's Day) will probably be his next run. I'll talk to Frank (Berry, J P's racing manager) but he won't run before then.
