Jubilee Year full of running

Brian O’Connell literally never moved a muscle as Jubilee Year cruised up at the end of the two and a half mile handicap hurdle to glide past Battlemount and win by a length and a half. Thu 16th May

After race at Downpatrick Fri, 27th Sep, 2013 (1st)

He struggled over hurdles but he is better over fences. I told Davy to leave it late but not that late! He wants further, he was flat out and they came back to him. Not many would have won on him. Davy said he made a bad mistake three out and it knocked the stuffing out of him. It is a long way to come up here today but we kind of fancied him, his previous two runs over fence weren't bad. He got the job done and that is great. We will probably go for a handicap chase with him now but we will see what the handicapper does. His owner Damien Carroll is a great supporter of mine, he is from Dublin and he is getting married tomorrow.
