He deserved all his wins as he was hitting the crossbar last year,. He is tough but he surprised me today as I thought the draw, ground and the weight were all gone against him. When the weights went up there was no horse rated 65 and he ended up being the top one in it from 59. He keeps surprising us and I want to go to Dundalk now although the owners are not in love with the place as he came back jarred from there a few times last year. However I think the new surface should change things and help prevent that from happening now.

I think we lost the run of ourselves when he won, as we ran back a bit quick and he likes to be fresh and was bouncing today, . He is what he is but when we got him if you told me he was going to win two races. I'd have laughed at you. It is amazing, he is tiny but has a heart of a lion. That's his grade and thankfully he's won a couple now. He might go to Dundalk around Christmas time when the races aren't too hot. We tried last Christmas to win one but we'll try again. I only have a handful of horses. I'm in west of Ireland and it is difficult to find a nice one. I have good owners but the quality of horses is the problem - it is hard to compete against the big boys but we'll box away at this level.

He deserved it, he's a long time trying. I didn't think he'd do it first time out, I thought he'd maybe need the run but he's tough and he's solid. He's been a dream, frustrating, but it's great to have the like of him. You can depend on him, he's limited but he tries his heart out. That could crucify him, that's what he is and any few pounds will inconvenience him but we'll see. Hopefully he might improve a little bit. We'll bring him home and mind him and then see where we go.
