T. Stack, trainer of Scream Blue Murder, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge stumbled on leaving stalls, losing ground. The Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Fountain Of Youth, winner, as compared with its recent form. A.P. O'Brien reported that this horse was coming back to five furlongs today and perhaps the key to him is fast ground at the minimum trip. He had worn cheekpieces in the past but was tried in first time blinkers today which may have benefitted him also. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the explanation.
