he was impressive in Limerick (in October) but this was a different class of race. I'm delighted to see him do something similar. He's funny, he's a character and is just a brilliant jumper - when he sees a fence he just wants to go and jump it. David gave him a brilliant ride. They were hard at it from a long way and he was up there the whole way. I'd like to speak to the lads and see where he goes next - being a negative fellow I picked out the winners of two conditions chase in Gowran, just in case, at the end of the month but thankfully he's not eligible for that anymore!. The John Durkan Chase would be one but I'll speak to the lads and he was entered in the King George but we'll see as he's only a second season novice.

I’ve loose schooled him since he came to me and he’s one of those horses that just gets it right every time. I wanted to buy him when he was in the Derby Sale but didn’t have enough to get him. It’s funny the way things work out. I’ll have to see what Michael and Eddie want to do but he could go for the two and a half miles Grade 2 at Down Royal. It’s nice to get today out of the way. He’s a really exciting horse.

He was very sweet out in front, the visor helped and a bit of better ground. Once he can dictate and not get bossed around he's fine. He has his own way of doing things, and it's nice to see him get off the mark (over fences). I don't know where he will go next. He ran well at Aintree last year, and I wouldn't mind going there over three miles. If not he could go to Fairyhouse.

I was very disappointed with him at Leopardstown, and was a bit worried about the ground coming here, as we had thought he was a good ground horse. Barry (Geraghty) gave him a super ride though and was tough on him,. The cheek-pieces really helped and he is as tough as old boots.

we've always thought a lot of this horse and Dad loved him. Fairyhouse has been a lucky place for us in the past and it's great to get the first one (winner). He was very impressive there so we'll see how he comes out of this race and have a look at Christmas.
